Under the theme Between the Light and the Dust We Remember, the house is designed as a framework rather than a finished object. Its spaces can be constructed in phases, allowing the home to grow as the needs and resources of the family change over time.

This thinking extends beyond the individual house into an urban strategy we called the Urban Tapestry. Homes interlock with one another so that internal courtyards form protected, private outdoor spaces between neighbouring buildings. Shaded pedestrian routes are lined with date palms, while each home contributes a planted front garden, creating a productive landscape of locally appropriate fruiting and edible species along the street.

The proposal considers the house and neighbourhood as something that is gradually built, planted and inherited — architecture capable of accumulating life rather than being replaced by it.
