House Nicola is a compact home designed around its relationship with the Magaliesberg.
The two-storey house positions its primary living spaces and balcony towards the mountain, creating a place to experience the changing afternoon light and sunsets across the landscape. The lower level accommodates the more practical parts of the home — garage, workspace and entertainment areas — opening onto a pool and garden.
Designed for a single resident and her cats, the house avoids unnecessary scale in favour of spaces that are comfortable, personal and closely connected to their surroundings.
It is a small house shaped by a simple idea: make the landscape part of everyday life.
